Our Members

The Geek Group has over four thousand members scattered across the globe, in every state in the US and one hundred and forty one countries.

The internet has proven for decades that Geeks love social interaction. We just appreciate different things that society at large. The very early days of social networking were done by Geeks, back when the BBS systems and Newsgroups were the core of the internet the population was overwhelmingly Geeks. The popularity of sites such as Slashdot proves that we’re still there. Geeks built the internet, we’re not going away anytime soon.

But contrary to the opinion of many Geeks, there is a world outside of the computer. Stepping out into the Big Blue Room makes social interaction much more complicated. This is where membership in The Geek Group comes into play.
The Geek Group is a place where Geeks can congregate in real life. Within these walls the typical social structure of American culture simply doesn’t exist. It doesn’t matter what you wear, what you look like, or how much of a dork you are. Age, race, sexuality, religion, social caste, none of these things have any importance here. All that matters is your mind. The Geek Group provides the social freedom of the internet, combined with the ability to actually interact with real people in a brick and mortar environment.

The Geek Group gives them a physical place to band together, pool their resources, and together accomplish more than any one of them can separately. We are a Force Multiplier for genius. In addition to that by providing large-scale tools than none of them could reasonably own on their own, like giant CNC equipment, robots, and millions of dollars in materials and parts we allow them to take their creativity to staggering new levels.

Membership in The Geek Group is open to anyone with a sincere and passionate desire to learn. By becoming a member you will have access to our massive online forums and be immediately connected with a worldwide collection of your peers. Topics in our forums cover all aspects of Science and Technology, Engineering, Design, Geek culture, Humor and Lifestyle. New topics post every day and we have membership that spans the globe.
